What kind of animals do you serve at your animal hospital?
We provide veterinary care for all kinds of animals. We provide medical care for large animals such as cattle, equine (horses), llamas, pigs, sheep, goats, donkeys, mules, etc. We also provide medical care for small animals such as cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rats, exotic pets (excluding snakes and birds), hedge hogs, rabbits, and many more personal and 4-H pets! What hours are you open?
AMC’s hours of operation are Monday- Friday from 8am- 5pm and Saturday 8am- 12pm. We are also available for emergency services for large and small animals 24 hours a day.

Do you offer walk-in appointments?
We request clients to schedule appointments to assure everyone is provided with quality service. We do offer same day appointments, but ask that you call ahead for an available time. We are an emergency care animal hospital and prefer client’s calling ahead to better prepare us for your arrival.

Do you offer boarding?
We offer boarding to our clients on a reservation basis. Please call in advance for holiday boarding space. All pets are furnished with their own individual housing accommodations. All pets are fed Hill’s Science Diet unless alternative food is provided.

What form of payment do you accept?
We accept most major credit cards (Visa, Discover, Mastercard, AMEX) as well as cash and local checks. We also offer Care Credit which you may apply for in advance or at the Animal Medical Center at our receptionist desk.

Do you offer a payment plan?
We may offer a payment plan for emergency medical care. The payment plan can be arranged with the office manager. Not all clients may qualify for a payment plan. All fees can be provided in a written estimate prior to service. We can also help interested clients in setting up a Care Credit account to pay for services.

Do you offer Emergency Medical Services?
We offer emergency medical services to current and new clients. We are available during regular operating hours and after hours. Please call before heading to the hospital so we can be better prepared for you arrival.

Where are you located?
We are located at 4012 S. Santa Fe in Chanute Kansas. Chanute is located in Neosho County in Southeastern Kansas. For directions and a map please view our contact page.
